My Wife’s Gonna Break my Bank….

So, my wife decided at the beginning of the year that she has wanted to lose weight. Besides the fact that now I am, indirectly, on a diet along with her (as she cooks dinners lower in fat), I’m all for it. It’s a good thing, and I can stand to lose several pounds myself.

Then I had a great idea!! As a motivation factor, I decided to strike a bargin with my wife. For every 10 pounds I lose, I get to buy a video game or some electronic gadget of my choice (within a reasonable cost, of course. She thought of this detail). For every 10 pounds she loses, she gets to buy a new outfit.

Sounds like a fair deal, and pretty reasonable right?? Well, here’s a word to the wise. Prior to striking a bargin with a woman, especially when it comes to clothes….define the meaning of “an outfit” first. Yeah…..always a good idea to work out those details first, prior to making a deal that YOU think is brilliant.

See, to a man….an outfit is a pair of jeans and a shirt. If we are getting up there on the high side, then we think of a suit and tie. We don’t think, “OMG!! I need shoes to go with this, a belt, a new wallet, what if my watch doesn’t go with it…..”

None-the-less, once you’ve made an agreement, and she meets her side of the bargin, it’s time to pay the piper!! ……….aaaaaannnnd trying to work out the fine print on “what an outfit includes” at this point, can prove a bit difficult.

So…Monday I find out what the tab is going to be. If you’re a praying person….add me to your list now…..
